New Eagle-Required Merit Badges

Effective January 1, 2014, Cooking will become an eagle-required merit badge. Any scout who has not submitted his Eagle paperwork by this date, must earn this badge.

Also, as of the same date, a scout may choose EITHER Environmental Science OR Sustainability as an Eagle Requirement. Sustainability is a new badge and will become available in July 2013.

We will camp at Ft. Washington State Park.

Saturday, we will bike through Wissihickon Park. Scouts and dads need a mountain or hybrid bike and helmet.

Delaware River Canoe Trip

Our annual canoe trip along the Upper Delaware River. We will cover about 45 miles of the river from Calicoon, NY to Matamoras, PA over three days.

Scouts must have (or be working on) their Canoeing Merit Badge to participate. This trip is not open to first year scouts.

Note, we will not meet at the church - scouts needing rides need to arrange them in advance. Do not arrive before 5pm.

We meet at the church for all camping trips on Friday at 5:30pm unless otherwise noted. Scouts should bring dinner or money for a fast food stop. Boys are dropped off at their homes on Sunday morning.

Troop Calendar

Troop Meetings are every Thursday from 7:30-9:00pm at Yardley United Methodist Church, 300 Langhorne-Yardley Road.

Troop committee meetings are the first Wednesday of each month, 7:30-8:30pm.

Patrol Leader's Council (PLC) meetings preceed the Troop Meeting on the first and third Thursday of each month at 6:30pm.

  • Wed, June 5: Troop Committee Meeting and Eagle Project Reviews (7:30-8:30pm) at YUMC. Last meeting before summer.
  • June 6 Troop Meeting: Summer Camp medical forms due.
  • June 7-9: Camping trip for new scouts and dads.
  • Wed, June 12: Playwicki District Roundtable (and Eagle Project Reviews), 7:30-9:00pm at Crossing Community Church. Representative: Frank Ehrenfeld.
  • June 13: Troop Court of Honor
  • Fri-Mon, June 21-24: Upper Delaware River Canoe Trip.

  • October 5th: Community Service Announcement: Free Electronic Waste and Appliance Recycling Event for Lower Makefield Township residents. LMT Municipal Building, 9am-1pm.
