Roundup Picnic

The annual roundup picnic will be held September 12, 1-4pm at Yardley UMC.

Families with last names A-I, bring a salad. Last names J-Z, please bring a dessert.

PLC and ASM's, please arrive at noon for setup.

New Troop Policies

Reminder about new troop policies this year...all scouts and dads must have BSA Medical Form parts A&C on file to camp with us. Dads must also complete Youth Protection Training at the Online Training Center and turn their certificate in to Peggy Pelosi. Thank you for supporting the troop.

Upcoming Trips

Ricketts Glen

September 24-26: Camping at Ricketts Glen (PA) State Park. Hiking the Falls Trail, a National Natural Landmark.


Pine Barrens

October 15-17: Camping trip to NJ Pine Barrens (Wharton State Forest). Canoeing on the Wading River if weather is good. BIG bonfire!


West Point

November 5-7: Camping trip to West Point, NY. Tour of US Military Academy and Army vs. Air Force Football Game.

All participants must complete a waiver to camp at Lake Frederick.


Tinicum Park

December 3-5: Local camping trip to Tinicum County Park in upper Bucks County.

All Troop 10 families are invited to join us for a pig roast dinner on Saturday evening.

We meet at the church for all camping trips on Friday at 5:30pm unless otherwise noted. Scouts should bring dinner or money for a fast food stop.

Boys are dropped off at their homes on Sunday morning.

Troop Calendar

Troop Meetings are every Thursday from 7:30-9:00pm at Yardley United Methodist Church, 300 Langhorne-Yardley Road. No meetings on days when Pennsbury schools are not in session.

Patrol Leader's Council (PLC) meetings are the first Sunday of each month, from 7:30-8:30pm. All Assistant SPL's and Patrol Leaders (or an assistant) should attend.

Committee meetings are the first Wednesday of each month, 7:30-8:30pm.

September

  • September 7: Annual adult leaders meeting (7:30-8:30pm), Yardley UMC.
  • September 12: Fall Roundup Picnic, Yardley UMC, 1-4pm. See details to left.
  • September 12: PLC Meeting, 7:30-9:00pm.
  • September 16: Weekly troop meetings begin. Patrol leader elections.
  • September 24-26: Ricketts Glen camping trip

October

  • October 2 & 3: Popcorn Show & Sell at Wawa and Super Fresh
  • October 3 (12-4pm): Troop Leadership Training (Yardley UMC) for Assistant Senior Patrol Leaders, Patrol Leaders, Guides, and Den Chiefs, Yardley UMC. Lunch will be served. No PLC meeting today.
  • October 6: Troop Committee Meeting (7:30-8:30pm), Yardley UMC.
  • October 9 & 10: Popcorn Show & Sell at Super Fresh.
  • October 15-17: Pine Barrens Camping Trip
